Alumni Meet



It is reported with pleasure that the 5th alumni meet was conducted on 24th September 2017 in seminar hall of Islamiah women’s arts & Science College. Under the Guidance of Janab H.ABDUL HALEEM sahib, Secretary & Correspondent of Islamiah Women’s Arts & Science College, 5th alumni meet was organized by Dr. R. AKTHAR BEGUM, Principal & Prof. K. NADIRA BEGUM, HOD of Urdu. 86 alumni along with 50 accompanying persons participated in the alumni meet 2017. Registration was followed by the welcome address by Prof. K. NADIRA BEGUM, HOD of Urdu.

Subsequently, Prof. K. HAJIRA TARANUM, Dept. of Mathematics who is also an alumni of our institution belonging to the batch 2011-2016 also addressed the alumni and highlighted the fact that alumni meet is the only opportunity to thank everyone who made a difference in our life, to meet the colleagues and to see the college once again with heartfelt memories.

Dr. NILOFER KAFEEL, Dr. RAZIA ANWARULLAH, MBBS., DGO., Dr. ZAHIDA PARVEEN, DGO., & Advocate AYESHA SIDDIQUA, LLB presided over the alumni association.

  • Dr. NILOFER KAFEEL, Minister-Labour and employment department MLA Elected from Vaniyambadi of Tamil Nadu State as a member of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam motivated the alumni members on women empowerment and addressed the gathering on the virtues of rendering services to the institution and society.
  • Dr. RAZIA ANWARULLAH while addressing the students professed her ardent wish that they may contribute to the well-being and progress of the institution by whatever means possible.

    Dr. ZAHIDA PARVEEN felt the need to emphasize the indebtedness and the immense potential of the candidates who had benefited and now, therefore, are the asset to the institution.

    Advocate AYESHA SIDDIQUA present alumni of the college turned nostalgic revisiting her days in the campus and inspired the gathered alumni to take up the mantle by supporting the progress of their college.

    The Alumni were invited to the dais to share their experiences and some of the thoughts expressed by them were:

    • Felt immensely happy and joyful.
    • Appreciated that the programme was organized in a planned manner.
    • Were nostalgic and proud seeing the college again with vast development.
    • Shared their employment details.
    • Recollected the services rendered by the faculty members when they were in the college.
    • Sports activities and hostel life experienced.
    • Some of the alumni expressed their willingness for helping the present students for placement.
    • One of the alumni expressed that the Arch decoration at the main entrance erected is admirable.

    Finally, at the end of the programme, vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. ARSHIYA TARANNUM, Dept. of English Literature.

    Refreshments and Lunch were provided to all the alumni members. In general, the alumni have given a good feedback about the hospitality and food. The faculty and staff members coordinated the conduct of the alumni meet in a grand manner and the function came to an end by 4 pm.
